Bolingbrook Soccer Club - Referee Info

LOVE SOCCER?  BECOME A REFEREE!

Being a referee is challenging, rewarding and a great source of additional income.  Referees 13 years and older are welcome, however ADULTS are encouraged to become a part of the program. Help make your child’s youth sports program a success!

We continue to need referees for Fall Soccer, for both recreational and travel programs. There is no experience needed for our recreational program. A FREE 3 hour introductory classroom training session will be provided to all NEW Rec Referee candidates. Upon completion of the training session, NEW Rec Referees will have the opportunity to develop their refereeing skills with paid on-the-job experience. Working as a referee provides a great job opportunity for the teenage members of our club.  Refs must be 12 years of age to referee in the Recreational League and 13 years old to referee in the Travel League.  Referees develop many skills that will help in future endeavors.  Skills such as; effective communication, decision making, patience, ability to remain calm, attention to detail, as well as physical stamina are developed through officiating. Finally, this can be a good opportunity for siblings that are not playing soccer.  Thank you for your careful consideration.

FREE Introductory Classroom Training Sessions have been scheduled as follows.

  • Saturday, August 5th 10AM - 1PM
  • Saturday, August 19th 10AM - 1PM
